PM Modi made fun of the opposition.
The Quit India movement, which was started by Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian National Congress in 1942 to abolish British colonial control in the nation, is commemorated today, August 9, on its 81st anniversary. On August 9, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid respect to the outstanding figures who were involved in the Quit India Movement. In a dig at the opposition, PM Modi added that the nation as a whole was saying that corruption, dynasty, and appeasement should leave India.
Modi's apparent jab at the opposition came as the BJP, which is in power, planned similar rallies for Wednesday around the nation.
"Honors for the legends who participated in the Quit India Movement. In a tweet on X, he said that this Movement, led by Gandhi Ji, was instrumental in releasing India from colonial tyranny.
"Today, India is saying with one voice: Corruption Leave India," he continued. India has lost Dynasty. Reconciliation Leave India. The opposition parties have previously been accused by the prime minister of engaging in corrupt, dynastic, and appeasement-based politics, and the public has been urged to avoid them.
Tributes to the greats who took part in the Quit India Movement. Under the leadership of Gandhi Ji, this Movement played a major role in freeing India from colonial rule. Today, India is saying in one voice:
Corruption Quit India.
Dynasty Quit India.
Appeasement Quit India.
Tushar Gandhi, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, was held as he left his house to observe Quit India Day and declared, "I am proud."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier on August 6 accused the opposition of engaging in "negative politics" and claimed that now the entire nation is rooting for corruption, dynasty, and appeasement to "quit India" as he spoke after laying the foundation stone for the renovation of 508 railway stations in 27 states and UTs via video conferencing. According to Modi,
"The entire country is now yelling Quit India for every vice, saying "Corruption, Quit India," "Dynasty, Quit India," and "Appeasement, Quit India." This is because of the Quit India Movement.
The August Revolution was recognized by the Congress party as one of the pivotal historical movements in the Indian battle for independence.
In a tweet from the party, they said: "Remembering the legacy of the August Revolution, one of the historic movements of the Indian struggle for independence, we today salute the brave sons of Mother India who became a part of this revolution."
